FAQ
Setting your Castle Caretech alarm system
Its easy to set your system, using either a pre-programmed tag or PIN code (Conditions apply for PIN capability)
Make sure all doors and window that are alarmed are closed.
- Present a valid tag to the “tag” icon on your keypad or enter you PIN number.
- You can choose to set all or any “partitioned” area you have programmed. Area A is default, so press “Tick icon” to select this. If you wish to set another area select that (B, C, or D) and press ‘Tick’
- Wait for the messge on the keypad to display “Please live via Exit Route” and then leave the property via the “final door”. The exit sound will be continuous.
- The exit tone will stop. After a few seconds this is then followed by adouble bleep. confirming the alarm has successfully set.
- Some of your partitions sets may be set up as a “Timed Exit”. This means you will need to leave that area before the timer shown on the keypad expires. Again this will then be followed by a double bleep confirming the alarm has successfully set.
You can easily set your alarm through your HomeControl 2.0 app
- Tap to your security system
- Tap the open green padlock to start setting the alarm
- Note: all areas the show an green open padlock are unset
- Once the system has set the chosen area, you will see red padlock ‘Armed’ after close your APP
- While you closing your APP alarm system transmits signals
- You will receive a push notification to confirm that your system is set.
- Arm/Disarm and some other push notifications needs to be enabled through Castle Caretech installer.
Unsetting your Castle Caretech alarm system
You can unset your alarm remotely using the HomeControl2.0 app
Enter the building and the ‘entry time’ will start – this is the time you have to get to your keypad.
- Present a valid tag to the ‘tag’ symbol on your keypad or enter your PIN code.
You can easily set your alarm through your HomeControl 2.0 app
IMPORTANT: Never switch off your alarm via the app if the has activated unless you are 100% certain as to why is activated.
- Open your app
- Tap the red padlock symbol to unset the alarm, you will be disconnected on the APP while the alarm transmits it’s signals.
- You will receive a push notification to confirm your system is unset.
